That evening, there was a large crowd of Pokemon on the shore of a lake near the colosseum. Pokemon trainers couldn't normally access the area due to rough road – some Pokemon came here when they needed privacy.
"This is where I grew up." Octillery looked out over the lake. "It's beautiful, isn't it?"
Gardevoir and Gallade looked at the sunset reflecting off the water, and agreed. It was a thing of beauty, unmarred by civilization.
"That's why I chose this as the place for the awards ceremony." Octillery turned to the assembled crowd and raised his microphone. "If I could have everyone's attention! Attentio

"Welcome, sports fans, to the fourth and final event in our Pokethelon!" Octillery addressed the eager crowd from his usual podium, Misdreavus at his side. "First, Misdreavus would like to clear up a few things."
Misdreavus floated over to Octillery's microphone. "For anyone curious, we've ran a test on the mysterious Kakuna and found that he did not abuse performance-enhancing EVs, as some people were suggesting. He is simply of an incredibly high level. We couldn't get an exact reading, but our best estimation is Level 100."
A few members of the crowd gasped in astonishment.

"Haha! I win again!" Regirock raised his GameCube controller in triumph. On the television, Meta Knight admonished his opponents that they "had much yet to learn".
"How do you even do that? You don't have any fingers!" Regice fumed.

Froslass laughed. She and Glalie had been invited for a night of Smash Brothers in the Regis' room. "C'mon, let's fight again!" Glalie said. "I just needed to get warmed up!" Attached to Glalie were a couple of robotic arms similar to the one Misdreavus wore. Most limbless Pokemon had a couple to allow them to do things other Pokemon could.

As soon as Gardevoir was off the stage, she was embraced by Gallade so hard that she nearly fell over. "Oh, thank Arceus you're okay!"
"Thanks for trusting me, Gallade."
"Don't do that again!" Gallade cried. "If you have to fight, I'm fighting alongside you!"
Gardevoir looked into Gallade's watery eyes. "Don't worry. I'd never let anything happen to me. I know you wouldn't be able to take it." She smiled.
"Aw, Gardy..."
The moment was, of course, interrupted by Octillery. "Now, if the Pokemon that did not compete in the arena could please come forward, we can begin the next round!"
